Editor Ron J. Suresha is looking for your bear (the gay kind) poetry. To be published by Bear Bones Books, an imprint of Lethe, the volume will collect the best "poetic writing that conveys the depth and breadth of the experience of Bear life."
Here's the full call:
Bear Bones Books imprint of GBLTQ publisher Lethe Press is planning to release a new title from Bear Bones Books in the next year or so (depending on the volume and quality and promptness of the material submitted). It’s a book of poems written by and for Bear readers.
We seek excellent poetic writing that conveys the depth and breadth of the experience of Bear life. We are not looking for odes extolling the gorgeousness of men’s hair or rhymed couplets on “the hottest bear in the bar.” Topics may include Bear love, lust, fetishism, aging, eroticism, maturity, chasing, community, &c. We want poems that will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up and grow hair on your palms!
We will definitely consider previously printed work; please include publication date and complete details.
Deadline: November 30th, 2012.
Remuneration: upon publication, 2 contributor copies and modest one-time payment.
